Track - Inbetween Days
Ringing in the second week, we have this little number from Track. Inbetween Times is a 4.9% ABV pale ale hopped with mosaic and Bru-1 (whatever that is??). Both of us are big fans of Track, so are we looking at a new Christmas number 1?

This is an exceptionally pleasant beer, it is not mind-blowingly good, but I don't think it is meant to be. As the name would suggest, this is a beer that would go very well between other, punchier affairs. If you were out for a sesh with mates, and didn't want to do back to back TIPAs and DIPAs all night, you could slide one of these in the mix, to stop things getting too out of hand before the kebabs. Alternatively, if you are looking for a nice beer to have in the fridge for when you fancy something nice midweek, this would do the trick nicely.
As a pale ale Inbetween Times is crisp and clear with a nice touch of bitterness from the mosiac (not entirely sure what the BRU-1 brings to the table) and does what a pale should do, it refreshes. It is not the best example of a pale I have had this year, but I think it very much lives up to its name.

I can safely say that I will never be disappointed unwrapping a can of anything from Track, yes even their sours they are that good, so I was delighted with today's reveal. Now as I write up this crit 5 days on, my issue is that there really were no standout notes that jump to mind and I am racking my brain to find much to say about this.
I second all of what Jack says above but would add that like when the maitre d' asks how your meal was or a colleague asks how your 30th birthday lockdown houseparty call was - exceptionally pleasant is the English way of saying, thoroughly unmemorable or potentially a lot worse! Thankfully this falls into the former category, it was decent and tasted a bit of fruity hops and had a generic 'craft beer' taste but to cut a long waffle short, it was a bit meh and certainly below par from Track.
