Will there heck be a dud, Cloudwater simply don’t brew bad beer and only seem to brew magnificent TIPAs!!

This TIPA from the good eggs at Cloudy was brewed exclusively for sale by independent retailers as a show of appreciation and support for the shift that bottleshops and online retailers put in over a dreadful 2020. I think a lot of us would have lost (even more of) our sanity if we hadn't been able to get hold of cracking beer throughout so I can certainly get on board with the sentiment behind this juicy chapette!!

Turning to the suds, again just look at the viscosity on the pour of that wonderfully inviting yellow nectar. The beer retained a thin film of frothy bubbles in the glass which hinted to the mild carbonation that awaited and the nose was an apache assault of lime, overripe mango and orange. On the gullet (where we all know the best tasting gets done!) this was as expected, a full blown piña hop-lada, albeit two thirds of the pineapple had been replaced with intensely zesty kaffir limes. The lime and coconut were nicely supported by a cast of juicy jungle chums (mango, papaya and the like) and a pea-sized portion of Colgate minty freshness to round it all out.

I absolutely loved this and whilst I would struggle to rank the 4 or 5 Cloudwater TIPAs I have gotten hold of in order, what I can say is that the varying hop bills have impressively showcased the widely differing tastes that these hop varieties can bring. This one would ideally be supped on a sun terrace on your jollies with a cheeky cocktail umbrella added to the glass for good measure!!
